about
Studio Chan was approached by Bompas & Parr during the early ideation and development phase of Liquid Light with Johnnie Walker — a project created to celebrate the unveiling of Johnnie Walker’s lightest 70cl Scotch Whisky glass bottle.
The brief centred on a deceptively simple challenge: how to translate lightness, glass innovation and luxury craftsmanship into physical experience.
Studio Chan developed early-stage concepts exploring how the world’s lightest Johnnie Walker bottle could be interpreted through form, material, spatial storytelling and sensory detail. The work considered the tension at the heart of the project — strength and fragility, weightlessness and precision, technical innovation and emotional theatre.
These initial concepts helped inform the broader creative development of an activation centred on lightweight craftsmanship, culminating in Bompas & Parr’s Liquid Light experience with Johnnie Walker and Marshmallow Laser Feast. The final project celebrated Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ultra, a prototype demonstrating what luxury, lighter-weight, lower-carbon bottles of the future could look like.
